In , we came up with the idea that we would fly east to west around the world in around 26 days visiting Hong Kong, Sydney, Auckland, San Francisco and New York. It was a journey that had lots of highlights but was very hard work with both of us quite tired in the end. This trip was due to be the start of a travelling period, but Covid put these plans on hold and in the last two years we have travelled extensively.
As we are both getting on in age, we decided on a final big adventure which will be a cruise around the world visiting around 30 ports. The good news for our readers is that we will provide a real time experience for all the ports we visit with posts that we will hopefully entertain and amuse. The first couple of days was about settling in, but we were reminded on our second night that the weather was going to be interesting to watch.
The Atlantic winds picked up and the boat began to roll about a bit, fortunately both of us do not suffer from seasickness but there are many that do and it is not a pleasant experience. Unfortunately the winds continued till we reached the Bermuda area when blue skies welcome our arrival into the Caribbean.
